We believe that understanding the cosmos is not a privilege — it's a birthright. Astronaumica exists to bridge the gap between frontier research and curious minds everywhere.
Every episode is meticulously fact-checked and reviewed by domain experts. We don't simplify the science — we make it accessible without sacrificing accuracy.
Science is not just data — it's the profound experience of standing beneath a night sky and feeling small. We cultivate that sense of wonder in every episode.
Available in 45 languages with full transcripts, Astronaumica is free, forever. Knowledge of the cosmos should not be gated behind geography or language.
Astrophysicist · Science Communicator · Author
Dr. Julian Vance holds a PhD in Astrophysics from Cambridge and spent seven years as a research fellow at ESA before founding Astronaumica in 2018. His work bridges the gap between peer-reviewed research and the public imagination.
Author of "The Cartography of Dark Space" (Penguin, 2022), Dr. Vance has been recognised by TIME Magazine, the Royal Astronomical Society, and was awarded the Kavli Prize for Science Communication in 2023.
When not recording, he can be found at his observatory in rural Northumberland, cataloguing variable stars with a century-old refractor telescope.
